Democratic Governor Candidate Alexis Hill’s
‘Ask Alexis Anything’ Statewide Tour Starts Friday
Beginning Jan. 15th, Hill’s Grassroots Campaign
Will First Visit 11 Cities and 9 Counties in 9 Days
Las Vegas, NV – Gubernatorial candidate Alexis Hill announced today a people-powered “Ask Alexis Anything” statewide tour across Nevada where she will join groups of local Democrats, door-knock and canvass non-partisan voters, and be welcomed by community organizations throughout the state.
“Since announcing in September that I would run for Governor, I’ve personally spoken to and texted with more than 100,000 voters across the state,” Hill said. “We are calling this ongoing statewide tour ‘Ask Alexis Anything’ because I want to continue hearing directly from everyday Nevadans – especially those who have tough or unexpected questions for me about my values and proposals. I believe our state is better off when there are clear choices in elections and no questions are left unanswered.”
In a December poll by Change Research of 555 Democratic primary voters, 87% of Democratic primary voters said they want to elect a governor who will fight to change the status quo and take on billionaires, big corporations, and the establishment to make Nevada work for working families. Nearly two-thirds of Democratic primary voters (64%) reported feeling frustrated (47%) or angry (17%) with the Nevada government. The poll also showed that Hill had a strong power of persuasion with potential voters and that her opponent’s support was not deeply loyal.
Hill said, “Nevadans deserve to have our state’s top elected official lobby for the people – for better wages, affordable access to healthcare, and a modern tax system that doesn’t let billionaires or corporations off the hook.”
